If you are just starting to learn Texas Holdem, prepare this guide for you to quickly search. If you have ever been confused by these actions, read the following guidelines.

Before we start explaining the rules and the full game, here is a list of terms that you will encounter.
- Blinds: Short for “blind bets,” these are the forced bets made before the cards are dealt. In Hold’em, blinds take the place of the classic “ante.”
- Button: Nickname for the player acting as the dealer in current hand.
- Check: Similar to a call but no money is bet. If there is no raise preflop, the big blind may check.
- Flop: The first three community cards dealt.
- Fourth Street: See Turn.
- Fifth Street: See River.
- All-In: A player puts all of his or her remaining chips into the pot
- Preflop: Anything that occurs before the flop is dealt is preflop.
- River: The final (5th) community card dealt; also known as fifth street.
- Showdown: When players reveal their hands to discover the pot’s winner.
- Turn: The fourth community card dealt; also known as fourth street
TEXAS HOLDEM RULES – THE DEALER BUTTON
Once you have a player at the table, you must first have a chip. Before you can figure out what kind of chips you need to give to each player, you need to understand how the game works a little better. We will come back here.
Suppose all players have chips in front of them.
The next step is to choose the player who starts with the dealer button. Hold’em is played with what is called a Rotary Dealer, which means that the player plays the dealer role in one hand and then transfers the dealer role to the player on the left when the hand is finished.
To choose a dealer, give each player one card or place the card face down on the table. Each player must choose a card. The card player with the highest value (high ace for dealer selection) starts as a dealer.
Button
If you are in a poker room or casino directly with a professional dealer (or someone who is always willing to handle cards), the dealer button will still spin.
Although physically he deals with cards, button men are considered in all respects as a hand dealer.
After finishing the player’s hand with the dealer button, it is left to the player to his left.
TEXAS HOLD’EM RULES – THE BLINDS
Now you have a dealer, you have to wear curtains. There are two blinds in Texas Holdem – small blind and big blind.
This is a bet that is forced by two players to make sure there are some chips in the pot that are worth playing. If there is no money in the pot, all players can fold more often, slowing down the action.
The player to the left of the dealer places a small blind. Then the big blind (usually the small double blind) is paid by the player to the left of the small blind. The size of the blind determines the use of the game where you play.
Usually, you want players to buy at least 100 times the blind.
If you want to buy for $ 20, you have to play with the curtain 10 ¢ / 20 за. Most people play 10 ¢ / 25 ¢ for comfort.
In a Sbobet Login poker room, the maximum and minimum number a player can have is a curtain. In $ 1 / $ 2 games, the minimum is usually $ 40 (20x Large Blind) and the maximum is $ 200 (100x Large Blind).
Back to chips: When you play live or online at a casino, you receive chips in stages which make sense for the bet you are playing.
When you play at home, you have to decide which chips to use and how to distribute them. After the curtain is installed, we know which chip will be rotated. (In the example above, 10 ¢ chips, 25 ¢ chips and maybe some chips are used for 1 USD.)
You want to give players enough chips in each denomination to keep the game running smoothly. Overall, a player only needs 10% of the total chips in the smallest denomination because they are only used to pay for the small blind. For the most part, all bets are placed on chips that are larger than the small blind.
After putting the first chips and blinds in the pan, you can handle them directly.
TEXAS HOLDEM BETTING RULES
The card hand first treats the player with the dealer button to the left and rotates clockwise around the table. Each player receives one card each while each player has two cards face down.
This card is called a hole card and can only be used after you have made your last 5 card poker card.
The Texas Hold’em round consists of at least one and a maximum of four betting rounds. The hand ends when all but one player has passed or the fourth and final betting round with several players still ends in hand, whichever comes first.
At this point, the player enters the show (explained in the next section) and the player with the highest hand takes the pot. If two players share the highest card, the pot is shared equally between them.
TEXAS HOLDEM BETTING RULES – PRE-FLOP

If all players have holes, you are in a betting round before you fail. Each player checks the card and decides what action to take. In Hold’em, only one player can act simultaneously.
The betting round before the failure starts with the player to the left of the big blind. This player has three options:
- Fold: Pay nothing to the pot and throw away their hand, waiting for the next deal to play again.
- Call: Match the amount of the big blind (pre-flop this is also known as “limping in.”)
- Raise: Raise the bet by doubling the amount of the big blind. (Note: a player may raise more depending on the betting style being played, again see the rules for No-Limit and Pot-Limit above.)
Once a player has made their action the player to the left of them gets their turn to act. Each player is given the same options: fold, call the current bet (if the previous player raised, that is the amount you must call; if no one has bet it’s the big blind amount) or raise.
In Limit Hold’em a raise is always the amount of one bet in addition to the amount of the previous bet. For example: if the big blind is 25¢ and the first player to act would like to raise they put in a total of 50¢ (the big blind + one additional bet).
If the next player would like to re-raise they would put in a total of 75¢ (the previous bet + one additional bet). Again, though, in No-Limit Hold’em a player can bet as much as the total amount of their chips on the table at any time.
A Texas Hold’em betting round ends when two conditions are met:
- All players have had a chance to act.
- All players who haven’t folded have bet the same amount of money for the round.
EXAMPLE BETTING ROUND 1
There are five players at the table:
- Player 1 – Button
- Player 2 – Small Blind (10¢)
- Player 3 – Big Blind (25¢)
Start of betting round
- Player 4 – Calls the big blind (25¢)
- Player 5 – folds
- Player 1 – Calls the big blind (25¢)
- Player 2 – Calls the big blind (since they already have 10¢ bet, they only have to add another 15¢, for a total of 25¢)
- Player 3 – Checks (since they already have the bet matched, they do not need to add more money to call; this is called checking)
End of betting round
When Player 2 calls the big blind all players now have the same amount of money in front of them. But Player 3 (the big blind) has not had a chance to act so the betting round is not over. Once Player 3 checks both conditions are met and the betting round is over.
EXAMPLE BETTING ROUND 2
There are five players at the table:
- Player 1 – Button
- Player 2 – Small blind (10¢)
- Player 3 – Big blind (25¢)
Start of betting round
- Player 4 – Calls the big blind (25¢)
- Player 5 – Raises (50¢)
- Player 1 – Folds
- Player 2 – Folds
- Player 3 – Reraises (they already have 25¢ in as the big blind. They complete the bet of 50¢, and add one additional bet for a total of 75¢)
- Player 4 – Folds (their previous call of 25¢ is now in the pot)
- Player 5 – Calls (matches the bet of Player 3 for a total of 75¢)
END OF BETTING ROUND
In this scenario, all players have the opportunity to trade when Player 3 rises again. But not all players have the same money. After dropping Player 4, only Player 3 and Player 5. are left. When Player 5 calls, both conditions are met and the betting round ends.
TEXAS HOLDEM BETTING RULES – THE FLOP
After the pre-failed bet is completed, the failure is handled. This is done by placing the top card in a face down stack on the table (called a burning card, not being played), followed by three cards open in the middle of the table (see below).
This is a community fail card that allows all players to make their best 5-card poker card.
After failure, the first betting round begins after failure. The rules of the post-flop betting round are the same as those in the pre-fail with two small exceptions:
- The first player to act is the next player with a hand to the left of the dealer
- The first player to act can check or bet; as there has been no bet made, calling is free.
Holdem Flop Limit bet is the big blind amount. Without limits, its size must be at least double that of the big blind, but it can be as big as each player’s chip.
In our Limit Hold’em game, as explained above, players must bet 25 ¢ to place a bet in the first betting round after failing.
TEXAS HOLDEM BETTING RULES – THE TURN
After the failed betting round has ended (ie all players who want to see the next card have reached the value of all bets), the dealer “burns” another closed card followed by a card with 3 failed cards in the middle of the open table (see picture below).
After the turn starts the third betting round.
The third round of betting on Limit Hold’em is identical to the betting round on betting round, with one exception: the number of bets for this round and the last betting round is doubled, which means that placing bets in our game will cost one player ¢.
In Unlimited Hold’em, players can bet their number of chips back, provided they are at least twice as high as the blind or twice as high as the previous bet.
TEXAS HOLDEM BETTING RULES – THE RIVER
Assuming that more than one player has not folded on the previous roads, the river has now been handled. Handling a river is the same as dealing with a train that burns cards followed by open cards.
This is the last resort and no cards are dealt in this hand. The betting round is identical to the betting round.
